      You may find that you gain strength after one workout.This isn't because you've gained more muscle, it's caused because of your weight training skills. The first time you try an exercise your more caught up in the proper form and technique and you waste a lot of energy trying to get the hang of it.Once you have the hang of it, you can concentrate in lifting the weight.

      Secondly, your muscles have memory.Therefore, after one workout your muscles and nerves remember and your brain tells your muscles "you remember this, it's time to exercise"

      The first 6 weeks you weight train, most of strength gains are caused by skill and muscle memory. After 6 weeks your muscle fibers increase. Remember that larger muscles like your chest and back grow faster than your smaller ones like arms and shoulders.

      Always remember to maintain strict form and work to total positive failure while doing your exercises.
